Immediate area

The property Pantano lies among rolling countryside and surrounding the house are many large trees including fruit, nut and cypress as well as a large herb garden conveniently located near the kitchen. The panoramic view looks out to the villages of Proceno to the east and Castel-Azzara to the west.

There is a wonderful natural atmosphere to the area consisting of  woods, olive trees, and well kept grape vineyards. Directly bordering on the property is a protected nature area where exotic plants grow freely. From the property you can head out in many directions for beautiful nature walks. In the immediate neighbourhood you will find many dwellings from the Etruscan culture.

The distance to the village of Proceno is 2½ km. In this charming village you will find an assortment of shops for anything you may need as well as inviting little cafes and a first class restaurant in the village castle. This castle is open to tourists and managed by the owner. There is also a local doctor and pharmacy in Proceno.

Pantano can be reached by travelling from the main highway about 1 km over a country road to a private driveway of about 300 meters.
